  1. What’s a single story that you’ve been told that has changed the way you interact with the world? What are some of the ways that a single story has led to a deeper bias within you or others?
  2. What’s a time when you were influenced by a “single story” about a person, place, or culture that you later realized was only part of a greater picture? What caused the realization?
  3. Thinking about pop culture and beloved “white savior” figures in movies/novels, when have you wittingly clung to a single story to preserve your comfort?
  4. How can we hold ourselves accountable to thinking about more than just a single story?
